Sound Wave Poster

Turn a sound you never want to forget into art: your baby’s first heartbeat from the ultrasound, a first word, a voice message or the song you danced to. Add the recording, choose the moment and see your sound wave poster appear as you type.

First heartbeat poster with your ultrasound photo

Choose the “With photo” or “Photo in a heart” layout and add a photo of your scan next to your baby’s heartbeat. Many parents receive both the picture and a short heartbeat video at their appointment: this poster keeps them together.

How it works

  1. Add an audio file or a video: an ultrasound heartbeat clip, a voice note or a song.
  2. Pick the part you love with the start and length sliders, and play it back to be sure.
  3. Choose a design (heart, with photo, photo in a heart, classic or minimal), a wave style and colours, and add a name, a date and your words. For a first heartbeat poster, add a photo of your ultrasound scan.
  4. Pick a size and format, poster, framed poster or canvas, and order. We print it for you.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use my baby’s ultrasound heartbeat video?

Yes. Add the video file you received from your scan (MP4 or MOV) and the studio reads its sound. Choose the seconds where the heartbeat is clearest; a few beats usually look best.

Can I add the ultrasound picture too?

Yes. Choose “With photo” or “Photo in a heart” and add a JPG or PNG of your scan; a clear photo of the printout or a screenshot works. It is centred and cropped to the frame, and the preview shows exactly how it will print.

Is the sound wave really from my recording?

Yes. Every line of the wave is drawn from your own recording, so no two posters are alike.

Can the poster play the sound?

Yes. Tick “Add a scan to listen QR code” and a small code is printed in the corner of your poster. Scan it with a phone camera to open a page that plays the moment you chose, up to one minute.

What happens to my recording?

It stays on your device. The studio reads the sound in your browser and sends us only the shape of the wave. Only if you add the QR code do we keep the part you chose, as audio only (never the video), so the code keeps working; anyone who scans the code can listen to it.

Which files can I use?

MP3, M4A, WAV and most videos from phones (MP4, MOV), up to 10 minutes long. The poster shows up to one minute of sound; shorter moments of 3 to 15 seconds give the most striking wave.

How long does delivery take?

Every print is made to order. Production usually takes 2 to 5 business days, and delivery within the United States 3 to 8 business days after dispatch. Orders over $69 ship free. See our Shipping and Delivery Policy.
