Designing your poster

How does it work?

Open our design studio and upload a photo, personalise a star map, city map, name or sound wave poster, or create artwork with AI. Choose a size and format, check the preview on a wall in Room view and add it to your cart. We print it for you and ship it to your door.

Which files can I upload?

JPG, PNG or WebP images up to 50 MB. For sound wave posters you can add an audio file (MP3, M4A, WAV) or a video, such as an ultrasound heartbeat clip.

Will my photo print sharply?

The studio checks your photo and crop and shows which sizes will print sharply. If a photo is slightly too small for a size, that size may be offered as “AI-enhanced for this size”, and we enlarge your image with AI before printing. See the recommended image sizes in our Size Guide.

My photo doesn’t fit the poster’s shape. What can I do?

Drag the photo to choose the part you want, or zoom out (or tap “Fit whole photo”) to show the whole picture with a white, ivory, grey or black border. You can also add your own words on the photo with “Add text”.

Can I see how it will look on my wall?

Yes. Switch to Room view in the studio to see your poster, in the size and frame you chose, on a wall at its real scale.

Do I need an account?

No, you can design and order as a guest. With an account your designs are kept together, you can order them again later and you can use AI credits.

Personalised posters

Is the star map accurate?

Yes. The sky is calculated for the exact place, date and local time you enter, from a catalogue of real stars and the classic constellation lines. Create a star map.

Where do the city maps come from?

Our map posters use OpenStreetMap data, so you can choose any address in the world, from a whole region down to a single street. Create a city map.

How do sound wave posters and the QR code work?

Add a recording, choose the moment you love and the studio draws its sound wave. Your recording stays on your device; only the shape of the wave is used. If you add the optional “scan to listen” QR code, we keep the part you chose (audio only, at most one minute) so anyone who scans the poster can play it. Create a sound wave poster.

Can I check my text before it’s printed?

Yes. The preview shows exactly what we print, including every word, date and line break. Please check names and dates carefully: personalised items are made to your design.

AI art and credits

How do AI credits work?

Each AI image costs one credit. You receive free welcome credits when you confirm your email address, and every completed print order adds bonus credits to your account. Credit packs start at $4.99 for 20 credits and are offered in the studio when you need more.

Can I use credits towards prints?

Yes, credits you have bought can be used as a discount on prints at checkout. Free welcome and bonus credits are for creating AI artwork only.

Can I create artwork of famous characters or brands?

No. To respect other people’s rights we do not create or print artwork with trademarked characters, brands or logos, or images of real, identifiable people without permission.

Printing and materials

What paper and frames do you use?

Posters are printed on thick enhanced matte paper (189 g/m²). Framed posters come in black, white or natural ayous wood frames with a clear acrylic front, and canvases are 1.25″ deep on solid wood stretcher bars. Read more in our Frame and Format Guide.

Will the colours look exactly like my screen?

Very close, but screens give off light while paper reflects it, so prints can look slightly softer and less bright than a backlit screen, especially in very dark or neon colours.

Orders, shipping and returns

How long does delivery take?

Every print is made to order. Production usually takes 2 to 5 business days for posters and 2 to 7 for framed posters and canvases, and delivery within the United States 3 to 8 business days after dispatch. Orders over $69 ship free within the United States. See our Shipping and Delivery Policy.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Yes, to more than 200 countries. Shipping is calculated at checkout from your address and the products in your cart, using our printing partner’s live rates, and prints are made in the facility closest to you where possible. Free shipping over $69 applies to orders within the United States. Customs duties and import taxes may apply outside the country of production.

How can I track my order?

You will receive an email with tracking details when your order is dispatched. You can also check its status on our order tracking page or in your account.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Production starts soon after you order, so please email us straight away with your order number. If your order has not gone into production yet, we will do our best to change or cancel it.

What if my print arrives damaged or wrong?

Email us within 30 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the product and packaging, and we will send a free reprint or a refund. Personalised and made-to-order items cannot be returned for a change of mind. See our Refund and Right of Withdrawal Policy.

Can I order a gallery wall or a matching set?

Yes. Choose three or six designs in one size and frame, see the whole wall in a room and save 10% on three prints or 15% on six. Create a gallery wall.
